Cambios recientes
- Los wikis que utilizan las herramientas del equipo de crecimiento ahora pueden mostrar el nombre del mentor de un recién llegado en cualquier lugar a través de una palabra mágica. Esto se puede utilizar para mensajes de bienvenida o userboxes.
- Está disponible una nueva versión de la herramienta VideoCutTool, que permite recortar, rotar, acortar y eliminar el audio de los vídeos.
Problemas
- Hubo un problema con la cola de trabajos. Esto significó que algunas funciones no guardaron los cambios y se retrasaron los mensajes masivos. Esto no afectó las ediciones de la wiki. [1]
- Puede que algunos editores que usan las últimas versiones de los navegadores Firefox y Safari no inicien sesión automáticamente. [2]

Cambios recientes
- La traducción de secciones ha sido habilitada para la Wikipedia en bengalí. Permite traducir secciones de artículos a los editores que usan dispositivos móviles. Esta característica se irá instalando en más Wikipedias en un futuro. Por el momento se limitará a wikis activas pero con un pequeño número de artículos. Puedes probarlo y dejar tus comentarios.
- La extensión versiones revisadas ahora otorga a los administradores el permiso de revisor. [3]
- Cuando alguien enlace a algún artículo de Wikipedia en Twitter ahora verá una previsualización del mismo. [4]
Problemas
- Muchos gráficos tienen problemas de código JS. Los editores de gráficos pueden comprobarlos usando la consola de desarrolladores de sus navegadores. [5]
Cambios de esta semana
- La nueva versión de MediaWiki se instalará en los wikis de prueba y en MediaWiki.org el 9 marzo. Se instalará en wikis que no son Wikipedia y en algunas Wikipedias a partir del 10 marzo, y en las restantes a partir del 11 marzo (calendario).
- En breve, la herramienta «New Discussion» será añadida como característica beta a las ya existentes herramientas de discusión en casi todas las Wikipedias. El propósito de la misma es facilitar el inicio de nuevas discusiones. [6]
Cambios futuros
- Se van a producir cambios para hacer más sencillo trabajar con plantillas. Algunos de ellos se irán incorporando a algunas wikis en marzo. Otros cambios se irán incorporando a las primeras wikis en el mes de junio. Estos cambios afectan tanto a los que usan plantillas como a los que las mantienen. Puedes leer más.
- La herramienta «Reference Previews» se convertirá en una función predeterminada en algunas wikis el 17 de marzo. Compartirá una configuración con «Page Previews». Si prefieres herramientas como Reference Tooltips o Popups de navegación, puedes seguir utilizándolas. Si es así, Reference Previews no se mostrará. [7][8]
- Las nuevas funciones basadas en JavaScript no funcionarán en Internet Explorer 11. Esto se debe a que Internet Explorer es un navegador antiguo que no funciona con la forma en que se escribe JavaScript en la actualidad. Todo lo que funciona en Internet Explorer 11 hoy seguirá funcionando en Internet Explorer por ahora. Puedes leer más.

New features (Modules and Templates)[editar]
Translations[editar]
I will install the features from WV/de here. I've just transfered one module to this wiki. How about translations?
- Module names should be kept.
- I will create the templates in English. Feel free to rename/redirect into Spanish later, if needed.
- Most modules use maintenance categories. I think its wise to translate the category name in the module or template before I create it. Redirects with categories are not nice. Aren't they?
I started a list for translation. We can move it to a proper name or project namespace if needed. I will write down all changes you have to do (normally translations). Maybe it's useful to mark list items as "checked" or "done", after tranlsation. Most work I will do on next weekend. Currently more looking around and finding my way.
I am aware that the translation of the template documentation is a lot of work. But it works anyway and can be done later. The translation of the system messages of the modules have hight priority.
VCards and Markers[editar]
The two new templates (including their depending modules) provide the new markers and listings. They both use Wikidata. The only mandantory parameters are a name, type and wikidata ID. Everything else can be fetched from Wikidata (including opening time, WiFi, credit cards, opening hours...).
{{Marker}}is the new template. The redirect is removed. When finished,{{Marcador}}could redirect to the new template.{{VCard}}is the new template. This redirect is removed as well.{{Listado}}shoud redirect to the new template, as well as{{ver}},{{hacer}},{{comprar}},{{comer}},{{beber}},{{dormir}}. The symbols in the wikitext editor should be removed because all these separate listungs are outdated. Update 19:34 CET: All your listing templates use the new vcard module now.{{listado}}is the new standard template name now. Unlike my first thought{{VCard}}will be the redirect, but should stay available in case you import articles from other language versions like voy:de for a translation. So you do not have to replace all the templates.
Meanwhile I dectivated the symbols in the editor. I would redirect the listing templates later or tomorrow (depending on my time).
This is one example of full Wikidata usage. Its a restaurant in my hometown Cottbus:

The parameters are in english but you can use Spanish aliases. All information can be fetched from Wikidata if you use a parameter with a value, the local value will win and is shown. The templates have an parameter "auto". If you switch it on, everything available at Wikidata is shown.
At the end of every listing is an "info" link. It's the "taxi button". Click on it and popup message about appears. It shows the information again. on the first site a message is shown "Please take me to..." and the address. If you jump into a cab, press the button and show it to the taxi driver. The popup windows knows the country of your article. Have you opened an article about a Thai city, the popup windows writes the "Please take me to..." text in Thai language and script. The second language is your own language (wiki user setting).
The coloured number has got a tooltip. Hold your mouse on it and you can see some tools. On mobile version the coloured number has alittle arrow to open it with your finger.
The parameter |wikipedia= is outdated and should be removed. If there is a wikipedia article, it has a WIkidata entry. So you should use the Wikidata ID instead of Wikipedia link.

Listing editor[editar]
The new listing editor works now. Just click on the edit ("bearbeiten") button at the end of the listing. The yellow background is a signal, that this information is available at Wikidata. Choose auto = "ja" the activate the "show everything from WD" option. Information are not copied from Wikidata, what does not make any sense. They are taken from WD shown live. Translation ist diffucult because its in the Mediawiki namespace. You can send me the Spanish text, if you can not edit it.
Mapframe[editar]
{{Mapframe}} is completely replaced by a new version: Two parametres are removed:
|capa=Its outdated, and was used in an older version of maps|mapa_estático=doesn'zt make sense. If somebody want to show a static map, just use the wiki markup for images. The new modules can show unknown parametres and put them into a maintenance category. Existing articles can be fixed that way.
I added the Spanish parameters to the parameter list: |alto=, |ancho=, |posición= should be understood. Even shaps can dded directly without using {{Mapshapes}}.
You can add more than one map to an article and show some markers on a special map, e.g. to show diving site in a separate bigger map in an island article.
Mapshape(s)[editar]
Mapshapes can be stated in the {{mapframe}} call as well, without using separate templates. But sometimes its usefull to use them iin the proper section of the article to easily identify them.
{{Mapshapes}}can show shapes from Commons and Wikidata (Openstreetmap). See an example (public transport of Vienna) on the documentation site.{{Mapshape}}does the same for a single shape.

Maintenance to be done on existing articles[editar]
- Removing the
|wikipedia=from the listings and add the Wikidata ID instead.
- Category:VCard: Parameter wikipedia benutzt has a list of all pages where wikipedia parameters are used without using a wikidata parameter. Pages with empty wikipedia parameter are not listed. --RolandUnger (discusión) 09:14 8 mar 2021 (UTC)

¡Pocas horas para iniciar NewsVoyage![editar]
NewsVoyage es un edit-a-thon colaborativo entre Wikiviajes y Wikinoticias propuesto por Wikimedia Small Projects User Group como una forma de motivar a que más editores participen y entre todos puedan mejorar o crear nuevas guías de edición y artículos periodísticos.
Es por eso que desde el 3 de febrero y hasta el 3 de marzo de 2021, dará inicio dicho concurso en el cual apoyarás a que Wikiviajes y Wikinoticias tengan tantas guías y noticias que sea posible escribir en un mes.

- Los wikis que forman parte del proyecto Mejoras a la IU de escritorio ahora pueden usar una nueva función de búsqueda. Las mejoras a la IU de escritorio y la nueva función de búsqueda estarán disponibles en más wikis a futuro. También puedes probarlo antes.
Los editores que colocan banners o cambian el código de JavaScript de todo el sitio deben usar el error de cliente gráfico para asegurarse de que sus cambios no han causado problemas. Puedes leer más. [9]

- Debido a problemas con la base de datos, el «Wikimedia Beta Cluster» pudo ser únicamente leído por más de un día.

Cambios futuros
- Actualmente se puede agregar un carácter de nueva línea o de retorno de carro a una firma personalizada si se utiliza una plantilla. Hay una propuesta para prohibir esto a futuro. Esto se debe a que pueden causar problemas de formato. [10][11]
- Podrás leer pero no editar 12 wikis por un período corto de tiempo el 23 marzo a las 06:00 (UTC). Esto podría tardar hasta 30 minutos pero se espera que sea menos.

JOINSwill no longer work from 23 March. There will be a new field to specify the database to connect to. If you think this affects you and you need help you can post on Phabricator or on Wikitech. PAWS and other ways to do SQL queries to the Wiki Replicas will be affected later. [12]

Cambios recientes
- Existe una aplicación de Wikipedia para dispositivos móviles con el sistema operativo KaiOS. Como no tienen una pantalla táctil, los lectores deben navegar por Wikipedia con las teclas del dispositivo. Ahora está disponible un simulador para que puedas ver cómo se ve.
- Las herramientas «Reply tool» y «New discussion tool» ahora están disponibles en la función beta «Herramientas de discusión» en casi todas las wikis excepto en la Wikipedia en alemán.
Problemas
- Podrás leer pero no editar doce wikis durante un breve período de tiempo el 23 marzo a las 06:00 (UTC). Esto también puede afectar los cambios de contraseña, el inicio de sesión en wikis nuevas, los cambios de nombre globales y el cambio o confirmación de correos electrónicos. Cambios futuros
- La extensión «Flagged revisions» ya no tendrá múltiples etiquetas como «tono» o «profundidad». También tendrá un solo nivel. Esto fue cambiado debido a que muy pocas wikis usaban estas funciones y dificultaban el mantenimiento de la herramienta. [14][15]
- Los gadgets y los scripts de usuario pueden acceder a variables sobre la página actual en JavaScript. En 2015, esto se movió de
wg*amw.config.wg*pronto dejará de funcionar. [16]

Propuestas para votaciones[editar]
¡Hola! En vista de que, por el bajo número de usuarios activos, resulta difícil alcanzar el umbral de votos para las votaciones, propongo hacer algunos cambios a Wikiviajes:Votaciones. Primero, extender el tiempo para las candidaturas a administrador a 14 días o a 30 días. Segundo, para las votaciones que no alcanzan el umbral en el plazo establecido, dar un tiempo de prórroga, por ejemplo, de 7 días; si al final del tiempo de prórroga, la votación no alcanza el umbral, esta será aprobada si solo tiene votos a favor. Estas propuestas buscan que usuarios que no sean tan activos puedan participar, ya que una semana es . ¡Saludos! --Julián L. Páez (discusión) 02:14 23 mar 2021 (UTC)

- Algunos navegadores web muy antiguos no funcionan bien con los wikis de Wikimedia. Se eliminará parte del código antiguo de los navegadores que solían ser compatibles. Esto podría causar problemas en esos navegadores. [17]
- Los cambios recientes de IRC han sido trasladados a un nuevo servidor. Asegúrate de que todas las herramientas se vuelvan a conectar automáticamente a
irc.wikimedia.orgy no el nombre de ningún servidor específico. Considera cambiar al «EventStreams» más moderno. [18]
Problemas
- Cuando trasladas una página que muchos editores tienen en su lista de seguimiento, el historial podría dividirse. Además, es posible que no se pueda volver a trasladar durante un tiempo. Esto se debe a un problema con la cola de trabajos. [19]
- Algunas páginas traducibles en Meta no pudieron ser editadas. Esto se debió a un error en la herramienta de traducción. La nueva versión de MediaWiki se retrasó debido a problemas como este. [20][21]
